The steps and processes in this section have been drawn from the practices of existing suicide postvention support services in England, with input from organisations delivering support services and from people bereaved or affected by suicide.
Those bereaved or affected by suicide always outnumber the deceased and are also at increased risk of suicide. Despite this little is known about the impact of suicide in the UK and how to best support the bereaved.
