Dr. Sharon McDonnell will be presenting at the 9th annual Centre for Recover and Social Inclusion Conference, entitled ‘Building Bridges: Connecting for Life’ at the University College Cork in the Republic of Ireland.
The National Confidential Inquiry into Suicide and Homicide by People with Mental Illness, based at the University of Manchester, published a report today which studied 130 child suicides in England.

We collected information on all suicides in the UK between 2003-2013. Suicide figures show different patterns across the UK countries. In the general population suicide rates are higher in Scotland and Northern Ireland but recent rises have occurred mainly in England and Wales – the rate in Scotland has fallen over the last decade.
