“This incredibly impactful and emotional event sets a high standard for conferences. The array of speakers provides an example of how to weave presentations about cutting-edge research with the voices of those with lived experience. In addition, the blended format enabled speakers and attendees to be present around the world, which provided a truly wide-ranging sense of community. As researchers who don’t have much day to day contact with people affected by suicide, we feel immensely privileged to have been able to attend. An event like this adds valuable depth to our own work.”
